The Princeton Review has selected Rensselaer for inclusion in a new publication for college applicants: The Princeton Review’s Guide to 286 Green Colleges. Developed in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the Guide to 286 Green Colleges is the first comprehensive guidebook focused solely on institutions of higher education who have demonstrated an above average commitment to sustainability in terms of campus infrastructure, activities and initiatives.
Sustainability Charrette 2009
Sponsored by the President’s Office, the inaugural Rensselaer Sustainability Charrette comprised of an interdisciplinary team of Rensselaer students, faculty, and staff generated numerous ideas for projects and initiatives that could potentially be implemented at Rensselaer to improve the way we operate, educate, research and live in regards to sustainability.
The Student Sustainability Task Force (SSTF) recently released their first “Sustainability at Rensselaer” report. Researched, compiled and written by members of the SSTF, the report includes input from many members of the Rensselaer community, including vice presidents, deans, directors, faculty and staff.
